Planning the drive to JFK

JFK is the longest of the three New York-area airport runs from Central New Jersey, and traffic on the Staten Island Expressway, the Belt Parkway and the Van Wyck changes by the hour. Plan on at least an hour on the road, and more at weekday rush hour or on holiday weekends. Most travelers should be picked up early enough to reach the terminal 2½ hours before a domestic flight and 3½ hours before an international one.
